Hello. Im a Roman Catholic researching the quaker religion because i thought i might want to convert. So i have a few questions. Here they are...

1) Where can i find out more about quakers? Books?
2) If i wanted to convert how do i join?
3) Do you guys celibrate christmas?

1. There are lots of resources online. Also there are many print publications available. My personal favorite overview work is A Living Faith: An Historical and Comparative Study of Quaker Beliefs, by Wilmer Cooper. You can also look at a listing of Quaker books available through Amazon.com.

2. Quakers generally recommend that you attend for some time, and get a good familiarity with Quakerism, before applying for membership. Larger Friends meetings and churches have information sessions from time to time designed to be appropriate for those interested in joining. The local Friends meeting or church can tell you the process for applying for membership there. It does vary somewhat from place to place.

3. Traditionally Quakers did not celebrate Christmas, but it is common to celebrate it in some fashion today. See Friends (Quakers) and Christmas.
