Work in an office? Then you may have a fair idea how much sexual heat is generated during the average workday. And not all of that steam is fantasy escaping the body. Some of it is low-grade sexual harassment--just enough to get a reaction, not enough to provoke a lawsuit.

Jack, who strikes me as a sexual predator, tracks Ennis down and coaxes him into sporadic trysts. But sporadic is not frequent enough for Jack. He wants Ennis full time. He whines, he pleads, he shouts that when they're apart, he's desolate. Jack cannot absorb Ennis' implied response: Better desolate than never.
