It's important to reward yourself for a job well done. Set specific exercise goals and a reward for achievement and put it in writing. Your reward might be new workout clothing or gear for your sport, a weekend getaway, a massage for sore muscles or some other splurge. Of course your reward does not have to involve any expense. It could be a day of relaxation at home, watching a movie you never have time for or simply a long, hot bath.
