Paralysis by Analysis
Do you spend too much time going over all the different options that you have? Do you feel so overwhelmed with choices that you procrastinate? Perfectionists often succumb to what cognitive psychologists call “all or nothing” thinking. Performance has to be flawless or it is worthless. One piece of negative feedback out of twenty ruins the experience. Step back and put negative feedback in the broader context. Look for the constructive value in the opinion. Go through your positive achievements—give them sufficient weight.
