Making sense – good sense – out of a chaotic world constantly throws off your equilibrium and forces you to flap your arms and bend your body in strange contortions. It’s not wrong to want to stand with your feet flat on the floor. And the wild contortions may be necessary when you lose your equilibrium through company downsizing, divorce, the death of a loved one, an unwanted pregnancy, financial reversals, or when your kids get into trouble.
