Take out the utensil holders and racks. Look for stuck food bits or debris on walls or racks and wipe them off. Get a bunch of paper towels and gently press them onto the base of the washer to pick up any glass shards, bones, metal, or food gunk. Add 2 cups of vinegar to the bottom and turn the washer on to energy save or low wash. Stop the dishwasher in mid-wash so the vinegar can set on the bottom and work. Leave it for about 20 minutes, then turn on to finish cycle. When that’s done wipe out the inside.
