Wouldn’t it be nice if we could just blame age for getting fat and just let ourselves go? But darn it, there are all those inspirational stories about folks at midlife and beyond who start paying attention to their diets, take up exercising and look more fit at 70 than they did at 30. I’m not saying that our metabolisms don’t present us with new challenges as we age, but the old adage holds true however young or old you may be. If you want a healthy metabolism, exercise more and eat less.
