All of our choices have an effect on our sacred planet and our precious bodies. Petroleum, synthetic chemicals, and fragrances weasel their way into most mainstream cosmetics. This is hard on the planet, but also on our health: Skin, our largest organ, absorbs all that we slather, cleanse, and primp it with. That's why these time-tested products are so delectable--for the gunk they don't have and the consciousness and care that they do.
