John O'Donohue is an Irish poet and Catholic scholar. He was awarded a Ph.D. in philosophical theology from the University of Tubingen. His book on the philosophy of Hegel, "Person als Vermittlung," was published in Germany in 1993. His other works include "Anam Cara," "Air: Breath of God," "Stone as the Tabernacle of Memory," "Water: The Tears of the Earth," and "Echoes of Memory" – a book of poems.
