My father chose wit as his string to keep tying things up with. And I recall him assuring me that if my prayers weren't an- swered there'd be a good reason. I persisted to tell him one time I deserve an answer, then realized he didn't agree with what I'd just said. He did too. And his followup was: ".....awh, there's nothing wrong with you that reincarnation can't cure."

My mother once told me that she didn't believe in God because He didn't answer her prayers. One of those moments when God speaks through us happened to me at that moment. I said to her, without knowing where this thought originated, "Mother, you aren't just praying and expecting an answer. You are trying to tell God what the answer is!"
