Resurrecting Your Church on Easter

Easter will inevitably draw in new and old faces in churches across the country. Churches can find ways to be more welcoming to those who have left the church and come back, says Scott Thumma, sociology of religion professor at Hartford Institute for Religion Research. “I think it's critical for a church to think about that as a time to rejoice that the prodigal sons have come home,” he said. “So, the church has to sort of roll out the red carpet.”
