Those that are truly Jehovah's Witnesses follow Christ who was no part of this world's politics which are under the complete control of none other than Satan the Devil who is the ruler of this wicked world. (read John 15:15,16, Luke 4:5-7, John 12:31,14:30,1John 5:19, James 4:4, James 1:27) THEREFORE JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES DO NOT VOTE AND REMAIN COMPLETELY NEUTRAL TO THE GOVERNMENTS OF THIS WORLD, SINCE GOD'S KINGDOM IS NO PART OF THIS WORLD AS CHRIST STATED TO PILATE. (read John 18:36) Being a true witness of Jehovah is much more than calling yourself one it is actually being one by following Christ's commandments which come from Jehovah.(read Matthew 15:10, 1John 5:3)

I think this is one of many areas where non-Witnesses may have a skewed view of real-life JW's. I have been one of Jehovah's Witnesses for over 25 years. While I do not publicize the fact, I also vote. I do not take part in any other political activity, of course, but I believe there are many Witnesses in the same situation I am. We feel a civic obligation to vote, which strictly speaking isn't condoned by the FDS, but they tend to look the other way about it. At least where I live (E. Texas). RM

While Jesus was on the earth, did he partake in the politics of this World? Absolutely not!!!!! At John 18:36 Jesus answered Pilate,"My kingdom is no part of this world. If my kingdom were part of this world,my attendants would have fought that I should not be delivered up to the Jews. But as it is,my kingdom is not from this source." At John 15:18,19 Jesus said to his true followers"if the world hates you,you know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is it's own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world,on this account the world hates you. Bear in mind.......If they have persecuted me,they will persecute you also." While on the earth, the people wanted to make him King. What did Jesus do? He would not allow them to make him a political King and withdrew into the mountain.(read John 6:15) Why? Because Jesus' Kingdom was no part of this world! Who is the real ruler of this political world? Notice at Luke 4:5-7 Satan offers Jesus all the political Kingdoms of this world if he falls down and worships him. Does Jesus correct Satan telling him they are not his to give? Absolutely not!!!! That is why the apostle paul identifies Satan as" the god of this system of things" at 2Corinthians 4:4. Also the apostle John stated "the whole world lies in the power of the wicked one."(John 5:21) and that" Satan misleads the entire inhabited earth."(Revelation 12:9) While on the earth Jesus stated "Give unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's.Give unto God the things that are God's". Acts 5:29 Peter said to the Religious leaders of his day "We must obey God as ruler rather than man." Not only do True Christians not partake in the politics of this world that are under Satan's control and rulership. They will "NOT KILL"!! In obedience to God's commandments. Who do you think really follows Christ's example and fit the description of "True Christians"? Those that involve themselves in politics of this world and kill others in war? Or Those that refuse, and are willing to die and give their own lives for their refusal? Before coming to a quick conclusion, please read God's thoughts at 1John 3:10-12,John 13;34,35,Matthew 26:51,52 Very soon God's Kingdom that we have been taught to pray for in the "Lord's Prayer" will come to the earth and put an end to all of Satan's kingdoms of this world. Please read Daniel 2:44 God's Kingdom is the only solution to mankind's problems that continue to keep escalating!!!
