asked-and-answered-prayerAs I come before the Bench,
I'm realizing my prayers are always answered.
It's either on it’s way or something better is coming.
In a courtroom, a lawyer will "object"
and the judge will either "sustain" or "overrule."
Sustain me through these trials of life.
Overrule the doubts that creep into my soul.
Bang the gavel when I've spoken out of turn.
Plead my case for me when I can't find the words.
Help me to step up boldly to speak my piece
and then throw myself on Your mercy.
