Going Green

BY: Heidi Haller

WGoingGreenYesterday it occurred to me,
as I washed the same clothes,
emptied the same dishwasher,
and scrubbed the same kitchen sink, again:
I am Your poster child for “going green”
Because You recycle me!

Cost saving and efficient,
You help the earth by the energy I generate,
by doing tasks in repetition.
I’m reminded that by using me
to do the work of four,
You allow more abundance for others.

In going green for You,
I see these everyday occurrences
as silent prayers of affirmation,
showing You how much I trust
that what I’m doing at the moment
is a testimonial to Your service.
