Prayers for prosperity is the number one prayer request on the internet. With famine, war and disease killing people all over the world, you might think humanity has bigger fish to fry than the almighty dollar. But too often, the pocketbook occupies our mind, heart, and even our soul.

It’s understandable. Money is a necessary fact of life.  It’s certainly true—there’s a bare minimum of money required in order for us to live happy, healthy, and productive lives. The tricky part is being satisfied with the life we have, once we figure out what our “must-have $$$” turns out to be.

a Little Something

Am I allowed to have a day
where nothing seems to make sense?
You know I’m not a complainer,
and I always make an effort to make things better.
This may seem minuscule,
but grant me a day with no major drama.

I’m not saying that I expect
You to solve all my problems.
Just asking for a run of the mill day.
Make all the lights green when I need them.
Chasten the dog before he tears up the sofa.
These things may seem small,
but what others may call a lucky break
I know as Providence.
