DIY Miracles

A few months back, I noticed that annoying flap of flab under my upper arms, so I prayed very specifically for God to tighten up that area for me. So what did He do? Hmph. The Creator of All Things broke my clothes washer. Yep. Knocked it right out of commission. How does this relate to underarm flab, you ask? Well, I had to wash my clothes by hand, in the kitchen sink until the new washer came. Yes, I had to actually use the arm muscles I was trying to tone.

But that's not what I asked for! I asked God to do it for me. I'm keeping the faith. I'm doing the right thing. I may not have a lot right now, but what I do have, I always share. So what's the deal?

The deal is, sometimes, God opens the door for you. Then He waits for you to walk through. On the other side, you might find new adventures, inspired ideas, kindred spirits, and maybe even things you never knew existed. You'll never know till you give it a try.

Claiming My Personal Power

I offer to you all that I am not,
to create with it all that I am.
Send Your forces around me, through me.
Permeate me.
Gently, yet boldly.
Undeniably.
With honor, I forgo all past violations of myself.
Through darkness I've crawled
just to meet you here.
All the sacrifice lies behind me.
Only Your love stands before me.
And now, may my power
finally lie within me.

She is a 40-pound soft-coated longhaired Wheaton Terrier. Most owners of Wheatons cut their dog’s coat. We decided to keep Orchid au natural as she ...

“Angel Days”

Often we need to wait for things to unfold gloriously and to take time to listen to the angels. Good things come to those who wait to accept them with a grateful heart.
