Daily Inspiration: What's Up With Men?
Is it true? Are women happiest when their men are miserable? According to a Harvard study, a woman likes it when her man lets her know he’s ticked off. Silence is a killer. Even negative emotions are better than none at all. With anger it’s an opening to dialogue, and women like to talk it through.
It’s early on a Wednesday morning; Shari and Neil are sitting at the kitchen table drinking coffee. Shari senses that cold wave of quiet disdain, and she asks Neil, “Is anything wrong?” His “NO!” is unconvincing. Shari takes it personally, “What did I do?” This time he's honest, “It’s not you, there’s this problem at work…” She stifles a smile and thinks; I can make it better.
This scenario could take a dozen different turns, but the lesson learned from the Harvard study is; women like to help. It takes patience and an understanding of the male brain to be effective, but it’s possible. Here are a few tidbits of insight to the male psyche:
1. Men react better to happy moods.
2. Men like to work out their problems on their own.
3. Men hate to do things that are demanded.
A women’s nature is to nurture. There are times when a man is on the receiving end and it works out just fine. But other times you’re better off finding someone else. Your soul is a good place to direct excess “assistance” energy. Nurture the inner “you” and you’ll find satisfaction in your own state of being happy.
Dear God,
Help me understand
how to shape my words
for help not hurt.
May the good I feel in my heart,
ring loud and clear through my voice.

The word DOG is GOD spelled backward. My dog Orchid is God-like. She is loving, wise and protective. Orchid is like a flower—feminine and beautiful! She is a 40-pound soft-coated longhaired Wheaton Terrier. Most owners of Wheatons cut their dog’s coat. We decided to keep Orchid au natural as she ...Previous Posts: Gramma Good’s Tributes to Mothers | Finding a Soul Mate

“Angel Days”
Often we need to wait for things to unfold gloriously and to take time to listen to the angels. Good things come to those who wait to accept them with a grateful heart.
