The average lifespan of a Fortune 500 company is only forty-five years.  An average female will likely live to see her eightieth birthday. Why do corporations die so much sooner than their human counterparts?

Big companies die because they have layers of management who focus only on the economics of selling their product or service.  They lose sight of their organizations true purpose; filling the needs of mankind.  Healthy financials are critical to a company’s success. But the ones that last have a history of providing high demand products to the communities they serve.

Here’s where faith enters the picture. Let’s take Florence; she’s the female who will live an average of eighty years.  Florence is a deeply spiritual woman. She’s a team player, who enjoys life and loves to share her joy with others. Her "high demand product" is her goodness. The community she serves can’t get enough of what she’s “selling.”

Business principles intersect with faith: Know your customer. Understand their pain. Help them solve their problem. When your faith is strong, and you let goodness guide your ways, your "company" will never close.
