Daily Scripture: Romans 8:9
You are in the Spirit, since the Spirit of God dwells in you.
Life is the ultimate pep rally. Back in high school you'd gather in the gym to get in the school spirit and root for the football team. You'd be elevated to a screaming frenzy by a school mascot dressed in a silly costume. School spirit comes from the elements around you. Life's spirit comes from within. Romans 8:9 teaches the difference between being "in the spirit." and having the "spirit in you." Cheerleaders don't bring you blessings, though it's nice to have them in your life. It's the presence of a gracious God residing in your very being, that brings you joy and celebration.
