It's a blessing in disguise mentality that gets you through your darkest days. You live your faith when you look upon trials and disappointment to provide a greater good. Romans 5:3-4 is the biblical root for recognizing a blessing in disguise. Rejoice in all of life's experiences, good and bad. When you do, you grow in faith, character, and hope.
