Help Me Remember Why
BY: communitywriter
He tested my patience to the limits,
The very limits of my endurance.
Please take me back to the day we stood
together at the altar,
and he was my one sure thing.
When I was his.
Please help me remember
the promise to cherish and respect.
Because this very day,
with the bills piled high
and the challenges coming
fast and thick,
and my blood pressure rising,
I need to remember!
Help me to remember
the greater purpose,
the reason I chose to walk with him.
Because this day
I really need to slow down
and let the flood of the sweetness
of that day wash this anger,
this bitterness away
and cleanse our marriage clean as we.
Go forward.
I want you to get to the root
of the problem and resolve it,
whatever it is.
I know I can trust you
to do what needs to be done.
