A Long Day

BY: communitywriter

I am tired. It’s been such a long day.
I am weary and weak from fighting in traffic,
hauling the kids, and working my fingers to the bone.
I need a break. I need some rest.

Please help me to relax
and release my stress and strain.
Help me to be brave
and face another crazy day.
Please guide me to know
what to do and when to do it,
and when to turn away.
I don’t have to do everything.
I know that. Sometimes.

Thank you for Your stillness and strength.
I need You right now.
I need to just be with You.
In Your arms, in Your peace.
Thank you for helping me breathe.
