It reads this way: "Blessed are you oh God, for giving me renewed energy for life." That’s my favorite morning blessing. I am exhausted at the end of each day, and occasionally even during it, but I am thrilled to wake up the next morning with fresh get up and go! Yesterday was one of those days; from pre-dawn till way past my bedtime, I was working hard. Adding to the mental strain, I was packing about 10 extra pounds of computer, recording equipment, and workout gear, along with a purse that was way too heavy. I’m not lying— as I sit here hours later, I still have indentations on my shoulders from the straps on my bags. Midway through the evening, I try to coax my little energy prayer into coming out of hibernation. No go. I drag myself through an after-hours dinner until I finally go to sleep. Read next feature >
