Hoping and Helping Others Connect
Recently, my family visited the Churchill Memorial in Fulton, Missouri. My great aunt took me there when I was a child and I could still remember visiting the church, St. Mary. Maybe I could create similar memories for my own son. The church is near the end of the tour so first we went through the museum and learned about Churchill's early life which included soldiering, battles and even a prison escape. The museum also had exhibits on the rise of Hitler and the experiences of a British air squadron. My son is 100% boy and I just knew his focus would be the planes and the soldiers and the DRAMA. Still, I wanted him to see the church and he pounded ahead of me, up the circular staircase, through the doors and into the sanctuary. Read next feature >
