"In fact, it’s now proven that the less often one worships, the more likely he/she is to vote Democratic." Might this be happening because those who feel our priorities should be loving our neighbors (regardless of legal or social status) and caring for "the least of these" no longer feel welcome in our churches, so they just stay away? I used to make a practice of visiting several churches in addition to my home church, but rarely do so anymore, because I'm tired of hearing their politics.
