There are a number of ways to calm your own mind, and one of the best is to do something kind for someone else. That includes gift giving, thinking about how what you say affects the other person, and sacrificing your own time to give them what they need. It can be hard to imagine doing this when it seems the world is falling apart around you, but it is the best time to support each other. This will keep your mind off of what is going on and will lift up your spouse at the same time.
