5 Tips to Find and Keep Christian Friends

About a year ago, my husband and I moved to a new house in a new city. We had a huge living room and a large kitchen with a center island— perfect for entertaining. We had a green backyard with a deck and new barbecue pit. It was a dream house and I imagined it filled with friends and laughter and chip crumbs and coffee rings glowing on my tables.

But we didn’t know anyone yet, and I felt lonely. God is so clear about developing biblical friendships and creating a community around us. He encourages us to meet with each other, to pray with each other, to eat with each other, to celebrate with each other. So how do we get to these God-given friendships and how do we continue to strengthen those bonds?
