I have to comment on this.. I am a very busy mom, who, for the most part works out of my home, thus really reducing my opportunities to meet folks. So, I've joined a few of these sites over the course of several years. To date, I have yet to have a date. I see myself as fairly attractive, petite and reasonably intelligent.. I've worked in Law enforcement, attended Alternative Medicine school and work for a large technology company. Many of the men who are on these sites are 1. trolling 2. criminals 3. see themselves as real prizes One of the earlier encounters I had involved a man who claimed to live in TX and had an engineering job. We exchanged emails and I gave him my cell phone number. Well, he had an international trip coming up (red flag) and he wanted to 'stop' and meet me. Of course the meeting never happened. Next thing you know.... he's in Africa (yes.. Africa) and of all things his credit card won't work.. and his bank won't work with him since he's out of the country. Yup, you guessed it... gee, maybe I could find it in my heart to lend him $$ so he could get back to the states.. at this point, I started playing him.. So, since then, my perspective on this high-tech Cyber-based dating is skewed. Seriously ladies.. and gentelmen... many of these folks are pro's.. they are con artists and they will use you.. tell you just want you want to hear. Good luck in your pursuits!

To add, it is important to test out the pay sites for free before you actually make a commitment. This can save you a lot of money. How to Get a Girl to Like You

This is an excellent article regarding online dating. While most people on these sites are legitimate, unfortunately others are not. For this reason it is really key to take these tips into consideration in order to not waste your time and to more importantly keep you safe. Another scary part is that many online daters are married. This is not fair to any party involved. http://xhowtogetagirltolikeyou.com/

I don't know if it's the state/area I live in or what. But, online dating sites here are scheming with losers..both men and women. I have tried 4 different sites, 2 paid for and 2 free. And all 4 were not worth it. I do not recommend doing it..as you mentioned in the beginning that they are mainly filled with already married people....your very much in the ball park with that assumption.
