The empty nest can trigger us to be creative when it comes to eating. Whether we are cooking for a big family or are cooking for only one or two people, both scenarios can be accommodated by advice attributed to Christ Jesus. “Do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’…Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” (Matt. 6:31-33)
