Wow! It isn't often I read something about the importance of teaching empathy to children. Let's all pay much more attention to this important thing that is so lacking in today's society. I teach pro-kindness/anti-bullying programs in schools, and it is unbelievable how many elementary children do not understand their own feelings! If they can't understand their own, how can they empathize with others? I suggest reading this rather new book with and to your children--you will all love the true stories, and it's a palatable and easy way to teach and talk about empathy. The title is TRUE BUCKETFILLING STORIES: LEGACIES OF LOVE. It has 100% 5-star reviews on Amazon, and they just dropped the price a bit, too. Check it out. It is truly WONDERFUL!
