Put your goal in a greater context. Want to lose weight? Read more often? Spend more time with a loved one? Get another job? Alongside these or other goals, think about what you’ll do once you achieve them. Will losing weight bring you better health and, thus, more energy to be able to give back to the community? Or, will reading more get you revved up for pursuing a degree or other course of education – or teaching others? Think beyond your resolutions to the wonderful things that will come once you keep them. Think big!
