The genesis of Kickstarter was helping musicians and artists make their dreams a reality. Pledge Music took the concept a step further by offering a fund raising platform  that contributes part of the funding directly to a charity. The Ben Folds Five reunion album is the first high profile project to hit the site, and it is raising money for music therapy while bringing attention to this great site at the same time.
