Children Are a Heritage from the Lord

Psalm 127:3 says, “Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him”. Parents are called to take pleasure in their children. They should never be viewed as a sign of God’s displeasure or his punishment for sin. Rather, children are the fruit of the womb and a reward for God’s love. Their zest, laughter, excitement and unique way of viewing things adds beauty to our everyday life.
