The Angel in the Hospital Named Ruth

Due to complications, I lost my unborn child, but a woman at the hospital gave me the hope, comfort, and love I needed.

My mother contracted Bulbar Polio in 1954 when I was only 6 weeks old. She was a nurse and my father was a Pediatrician. According to the information from my dad I had the same disease (Bulbar Polio). My parents and grandparents prayed that we would survive. All of the family prayed daily for me and my Mother. With all of our family and friends we both survived. Today I have no problems with walking, running and playing with my grandchildren. Thank you God for giving us Life.

AMD52 IN READING THESE BEAUTIFUL STORIES I CANNOT IMAGINE WHAT IT IS LIKE TO EXPERIENCE WHAT THESE SPECIAL PEOPLE HAVE. I MYSELF BELIEVE IN ANGELS VERY MUCH SO, I ALSO, HAVE A SMALL COLLECTION. I WOULD BE SO VERY HONORED IF I WAS ABLE TO EVEN BEGIN TO EXPERIENCE SUCH A BEUATIFUL SIGHT. BUT, I HAVE BEEN IN MANY SITUATIONS IN MY LIFE AND I WONDER HOW AND WHY I AM STILL ALIVE.. I BELIEVE THE ANSWER IS THAT I HAD MANY ANGELS WORKING FOR ME..BUT AT THE TIME DID NOT KNOW... I ALSO,BELIVE THERE ARE MANY OUT THERE LIKE ME WHO CANNOT ATTEST FOR WHY THEY ARE STILL HERE ON THIS EARTH.

Several years back around 1986 my husband had traveled from India in order to donate bone marrow to his critically ill nephew. The boy was just 14 years old and as a last resource the patient's family went to Seattle cancer hospital and my husband was giving blood almost everyday. Since the results were not encouraging the doctors allowed my husband to return to India. When he reached from Seattle to Atlanta his name was announced on PA system that he has been called back to Seattle. When he reached there the doctors said they would like to give one more try by using his bone marrow. He was punctured almost 60 holes on his lower back and bone marrow was extracted. His sister used to come and see him but mainly she was with her son. While my husband was alone one white nurse with a red dot on her forehead used to visit him and gave him medicine as well as some herbal drink saying it will help recovering faster. His sister also had met her in the hall way coming out of my husband's room but due to so much tension and stress she did not ask anything to my husband about her having red dot on her forehead even though she looked very much American. Well, when the bone marrow procedure was over and my husband was released from the hospital, he remembered that he had not even got the name of that nurse but he certainly would like to thank her for her special care to him. He asked at the nursing station, no body knew that kind of nurse even working there! Till today it is a puzzle who that kind Nurse with a red dot was? We are Indian and "the red dot" on the forehead means a lot to us. Was that some Angle took care of him and had a red dot just to let him be more comfortable while he was in pain? (He alone had come to USA at that time, me and my both the sons about15 and 11 years at that time were in India.)
