The Wisdom of My Father

In this moving tribute, Ann Mehl shares pearls of wisdom from her father. He was, like many of his generation, a man of few words. But when he did speak, it was usually to impart some wisdom or practical advice. In this gallery of family photos she offers some of his great aphorisms for living.

My father had a lot of things to tell us and they weren't exactly the best he never took care of himself so he smoked himself into a stroke and stopped talking at the age of fourty-five (45) and died at the age of fivety-five (55) and the whole time he smoked and couldn't have cared less about his family and suffering we went through because he simply didn't care.
