Element and Quality of Aquarius

Although Aquarius is known as the "Water Bearer" it is a sign of Air rather than of Water and is therefore more oriented towards the intellect and communication realms rather than the emotion of the Water element. As a Fixed sign, the nature of Aquarius is powerful and stable, with a strong sense of determination and persistence. This can also make them rather stubborn and resistance of the change that they are inspired to foster. This makes life somewhat complicated for our Aquarian friends.
