According to fitness expert Yuri Elkaim, in order to determine how much water you need on a day-to-day basis, take your weight and divide it in half. For example if you weigh 200 pounds, half is 100 which equates to 100 ounces of water that you should drink daily. However, if you're doing strenous activity then you should drink additional amounts.
