Members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church believe it’s critical to one’s relationship with God to provide a healthy body to house his spirit. They maintain a strict vegetarian diet to honor God who said: Thou shalt not kill. They are also vegetarian because they believe in the holistic nature of man. They prohibit all use of coffee, tea and alcohol, believing these interfere with the body's ability to absorb nutrients. But they gladly augment their vegetables and grains with eggs and dairy products.
