Elevate your exercise by setting a clear intention for your workout. Examples include, “Today, I want to not think and just enjoy moving my body,” “I want to enjoy seeing the sky and hearing the birds,” “I want to get some insight that will help me make a decision,” or “I want to see what happens during this workout when I release my natural competitive streak.” Setting an intention creates a force field around any endeavor in your mind – without one, all kinds of stress-inducing thoughts will flow in, and you’ll likely end your workout feeling as scattered as you did when you first began.
