Drink water. Sometimes we reach for a snack when we are actually thirsty. Lots of preemptive water can help nip these pseudo-munchies in the bud. In addition, water itself is filling. But please drink actual water—do not put in flavor packets or random chemicals and do not drink sweetened drinks or soda. These things are actually appetite stimulants! (Even artificial sweeteners will make you hungry!) If you cannot abide plain water, you can use a little lemon, lime, or even grapefruit juice.
