Wearing a bra causes breast cancer. Email rumors have stated that wearing a bra causes accumulation of toxins in the breast by hindering the lymph drainage system, thus leading to cancer. To date, studies have not shown conclusively that wearing a bra causes an increase in breast cancer risk. One confounding variable is that overweight or obese women are more likely to wear bras, and we know that being overweight or obese also increases breast cancer risk. This confuses the data interpretation. Wearing a loose-­‐fitting, comfortable bra is the best option.
