I count on other people to help me achieve my weight loss goals. On TV, contestants have lots of excellent resources, including trainers and dieticians and even friends and family. In real life, you have you. You should not count on your spouse, friends, employer, or anybody else to help you achieve your health goals. If they are supportive, that’s wonderful—but people (even good friends) can be unreliable when it comes to being your diet or exercise buddy. The only way to lose weight for good is to find a method and lifestyle that works for you—whether everybody else is helping you or not.
