7. Drink lots of water, dehydration can cause headaches. If you sense a headache coming on (some people know when they are about to get one), try drinking about a glass of water every half hour. Believe it or not, there are folks who say this method can abort a headache-to-be.
8. Get lots of exercise, but be gentle. Strenuous or sudden exercise (like jumping up and running around for half an hour) can actually cause headaches. Mild, moderate, but frequent exercise is the best remedy for headache sufferers.
