Detect and ditch distractions. There are tons of things that can divert our attention from the tasks we really need to accomplish. Eliminating or avoiding these distractions will help you get to work. If you’re working on the computer and suddenly realize that you’re browsing random websites, consider buying a program that blocks the web. If your loved ones keep calling or texting, let them that you’ll be available in a few hours, and silence your phone. If your home is especially distracting, work at the library or somewhere that’s quiet and the laundry isn’t screaming your name. In a nutshell, you want to make it as easy as possible for you to start and keep working.
