Avoid only those foods that you hate and/or that hate you back. If you have not been eating whole wheat toast or putting olive oil on your salad because you demonized wheat or fats, welcome them back. Just use them in moderation. On the other hand, if you’re allergic to strawberries or red wine gives you a headache, steer clear of them. Most of us have a short list of foods we, as individuals, would do well to avoid.
