I like the peace attitude of the JW''s but the idea that God is only going to "chose" a few people to be saved smacks of misrepresenting the Bible. When the Bible refers to the 144,000 which were redeemed, the word "redeemed" in the original text was "agorazo" which literally means "to go to market". The meaning has been twisted to mean "to purchase" or specifically "to redeem". The Bible goes on in Revelation 14 4 to say that they were virgins and firstfruits of God (original - "aparche" meaning "a beginning of sacrifice". So the 144,000 are virgins and redeemed from among men for sacrifice. Verse 5 goes on to say that they are without fault. This makes sense only if one was to consider that the 144,000 are children sent to market or bought for sacrifice. Regardless of how you view a strict interpretation of the Bible and the 144,000, not many adults will qualify.

The Jehovah Witness is taught that only 144000 (yes you guessed it,they are all) JW are justified as righteous in the eyes of God. However the Apostle Paul clearly taught that each Christian is justified as righteous. They offer you a 'free' bible study. The sad part is , it turns out to be a 'book' study. They, (like the Mormons ) stand on the Christian door steps telling them their faith will not save them with out the cult members 'books' being involved. Its so hard to open a "closed" mind.

This is only a brief condensed version of what Witnesses believe. Some of slides are not entirely correct. Slide two on the origin of the universe and the length of a "day" is inaccurate. see www.jw.org or www.watchtower.org to actually see the source. Sometimes people post other strange beliefs or strange websites that are not even remotely close to what jehovah's witnesses believe. Always better to go to the source or even ask a Jehovah's Witnesses why they have a certain belief - because all their beliefs are based on the Bible (and they can use any Bible - including NIV, Catholic Bible, American Standard, King James, etc)

The most fundemental belief of WTS Jehovahs witnesses is that they are truly God's Chosen people, that God through Jesus actively influences as directs with holy spirit everything they teach as doctrine such as only 144,000 people will go to heaven who only are jehovahs witnesses, that the watchtower governing body are the intermediaries between Jesus and mankind and only salvation can come through becoming a member of Jehovahs witnesses. http://thegoverningbody.org/

JWs are a new religion that has spread it's false teachings around the world. They change the Bible to suit their silly ideas and do not follow the teachings of the apostles or the early church. There is lots of early writings in the church to prove they are a false religion. The Catholic church has been around for more than 2000 years and will be there until Jesus returns. if they approach you......run.
