When I go to work, the people I work with are so rude, nasty, disrespectful. I some times really hate to go to work because I know what I am going to have to deal with. I pray before I go to work some times and I see a difference. Some times I forget to say a prayer and all the hatred is there they seem to have for me. I don't know why. I never did any thing to these people I work with. They are evil and have a cold heart. They have no care at all for any one. I see how they treat other individuals that are closer to their age a lot better than me. I am older than them and I have a feeling so strong they don't like me. They make my life at work so miserable. I just got hired on and don't want to quit. There is no jobs right now where I live. I just want to be able to go to work with out some one being so rude to me and try to make my night miserable. I work 3rd shift. I can't believe that more and more people are getting so nasty to one another more and more as time goes on. We live in a very hatred world. Please I need some one to pray for me that God will help me keep this job and tell me how to deal with the evil at my work place. These girls are all in their late 20's early 30's and I am 57. It should not make a difference. We are all here to get the job done and go home but it does. They are out to try and get me to quit and that is the last thing I want to do. I need help. The Supervisors don't care. They see what is going on and one Supervisor told me not to let it bother me and to not try to take it home with me. He does nothing to stop it. What am I going to do. I only have 7 more years to work and then I can retire. I don't know if I will last that long.

YES,I BELIEVE YOU MUST PRAY AT WORK ,BEFORE WORK, AT WAKING IN THE MORNING, I ALWAYS THANK GOD FOR ALLOWING ME TO SEE ANOTHER DAY. PRAYER IS A MUST ANYTIME, ANYWHERE,IT IS ACCEPTIBLE ANYWHERE,EVEN IF IT IS JUST ,LORD HAVE MERCY ON ME. I HAVE FOUND OUT THAT IF I DON'T PRAY BEFORE I ENTER MY WORK PLACE,ME DAY IS JACKED UP..SO I GO INTO THE RESTROOM AND SAY A PRAYER,THEN I AM ALRITE..I WORK IN A ENVIROMENT OF LOST SOULS,NOT ALL ARE LOST,BUT YOU CAN TELL WHO THEY ARE,AND I ALSO PRAY FOR THEM TOO..GOD IS ALWAYS WATCHING US, SO WE MUST CARRY OURSELVES IN THE MANNER OF OBEDIENCE..

We, of course, should make prayer a part of our daily routine. And that certainly includes our work life. It is important, however, to distinguish between the material world and the spiritual world. Ultimately, we should pray in accordance with our spiritual path and not direct our prayer to the mundane activities of the day. Our prayer should be directed to serving God and serving God directly, not through some medium like making a phone call or sending an email. If however, we find the deeper kind of prayer difficult, then it is indeed a good spiritual exercise to pray about the world around us....but only to the point that our mind and emotions become ready to pray the deeper prayer of direct service to God. So, in that sense, some of these kinds of "work" prayers can be a good "warm-up" to deeper prayer. But, even at work, we should try for deeper prayer, for the prayers set down by the saints.

What’s wrong with praying in a low tone of voice? Constantly? In your mind? Isn’t prayer supposed to be a conversation with your best friend? It’s something that should be very much alive in every aspect of your daily life, unless a particular religion dictates that you must pray at a certain time, in a certain position or conduct other rituals. The good thing about Christianity, and my relationship with God, is that it allows me to pray at any time in any circumstance and in any position, because it’s about your relationship with the Lord.

Prayer at works should be a problems, as long they don't taking a day work as their prayer. We don't people who discourage to do prayer at work. Remember, people don't born to be religious but they need to be educated religiously. Only fortunate people can understand life with others, as they respecting religions & given them to do their prayer. Understanding of life, prayer is very important in life as they are the root of being living. People seem to forget as where they came from initially & no one would rather know that they are here today. People start today & end tomorrow, some couldn't even given chance to be here. People, they grown up & think that they done everything. Believing in religion as to do their prayer, we can see that many of us never do. They waiting until death came, by then is to late for everyone to do their prayer. Prayer is a must, we owe everything to the "CREATOR" ALLAH & nothing could be pay off. Do anyone realize that, what do people need to live, they taking care of their health, eating good food, clean water but do we know that the air that we breath isn't being supply physically by human being. So how does this air important to World people has it's being created for us to breath & live. No one in this universe ever control of this air so as to ensure that everyone is safe to live. Then prayer is a must for all World people to belief the truthful of religion as there is the only one, THEGREATCREATOR (ALLAH) that has given life to many of us.

This is a very simple yet profound way to pray. I used to do this. Along the way, I'd forgotten. Thanks for reminding me. It's a beautiful prayer.

I do not believe that prayer or religion should be only kept private. I find it odd that every other aspect of our lives, including very intimate details of our sexuality are acceptable to make public knowledge, and we are told not to be embarassed, and if other people are offended that is their issue. Except religion. It has to be hidden and swept under the carpet, and spoken of only in whispers in private places. I suspect those who want it kept secret want to do so to keep secret how many people still have faith. If we keep quiet and accept that it should have no part in public conversation then they can make it look like most people have given up their faith. I have no intention of denying my beliefs. Many secularist claim that christians are hypocrites. What would be more hypocritical than pretending your beliefs didn't exist, or ignoring them when making decisions to coincide with what someone else believes?

These are great ideas except if you are the cleaning person. Apparently they do not have a belief in a God and therefore no need to pray at work. The only "jobs" pictured are sitting in a cubical behind a desk using a computer. Those who use hammers, paint brushes, scripts, microphones, brooms and mops, wrenches, diaper changers, etc do not have "jobs" and therefore the need to find time to pray. It is a good concept it just needs to be generalized to include everyone.

Prayer should NOT be allowed in the workplace, it is for the privacy of your own home or place of worship only! I'm pretty appalled that a certain fast food restaurant's employees pray openly at work.
