I have a bedtime prayer that I developed when I prayed for a good night's sleep (I was only getting four hours and I asked for it to feel like eight - and it worked!) I found out that if I asked just right (politely) and invited some wonderful and wise helpers healers and guides to spend the night with me, I could also ask for specific help and goals. When I woke in the morning, I made sure to check in with all my helpers to see if there was anything I needed to know. I would invariably get an answer! I really developed a trust in the benevolence of the universe and I count on that every night and every morning now. My time asleep is now like an adventure where I go out with wonderful crew and return with treasures of feelings and wisdom. I ask, then I listen. I wrote it up to share as well. http://www.magicnightsbook.com

I could not think of living without prayer in my life. I do not know how people live without a time they share thanking Him for his blessings and then asking for His guidance. He is our only hope in the most confused world today. Thank you for sharing your messages on praying. http://christiannetworksite.com/what-is-prayer/

Oh hereticprincess, wake the hell up, you are a christian too. what is the purpose of believing in Christ if there is nothing to save you from? And what is the purpose of believing in the antichrist if there is no Christ? In order to define Satan, you need Christ. But like most Satanist I've met You are truly attention starved. How about taking time and learn about your religion, but then again you may only be in it for the attention Hey Love ya Vinny von Vincent

Personally, I don't believe in prayer, I see it as lip service a show. It is the easiest thing to do without having to actually do anything. But just out of curiosity, which one do you think actually works? Words alone only mean something to an idiot. Prayer through personal action, growth, and example; now that is something to sink your teeth into.

We as Christians Must Be able to have LOVE for our LORD and Savior First. When We do not Understand The Love HE has had for us, we cannot Hear Him nor be Dicerning when to speaks and act toward another. NOT all people want prayer such as the first poster. we are not required to pray for those. This has been written taught and heard by most believers called Christian. Remembering "without faith None can please God." Many have forgotten whom The Lord seeks.

Yes these suggestions are aimed at Christians, and being a Satanist. I am my own god...so I will adapt these as suggestions to connect with myself.

I am impressed with your blog comments and wonder if you have ever heard of the prayer form Lectio Divina, an ancient form of praying. first introduced in the early 2nd century . I practice it daily and find that I have drawn closer to God through the Scriptures. Check it out . It can be done individually or in a group form. I am a spiritual director and would be hapy to tell you more about it, should you desire .

Although these suggestions are clearly aimed at Christians, with just a change in words here and there, they can be equally applicable to other faiths. I am a Sikh. Sikhi is a panentheistic faith. It is certainly an aid to prayer to see God (by whatever name) in everything.
