Pastor Rick and Kay Warren Return to the Pulpit

"If you struggle with a broken brain, you should be no more ashamed than someone with a broken arm," said Pastor Warren. "It's not a sin to take meds. It's not a sin to get help. You don't need to be ashamed."

Thank You Pastor Rick: For not being afraid to deal with what the church still see's as a taboo. Sometimes I feel like I have Mental Leprosy. When people have physical leprosy, they are shunned. They are outcast, this is the same thing with Mentally Ill people. People don't look at heart attack victims, or diabetics or anybody with a physical situation this way. But people with Mental illness, they do. Just like people needed to get educated about other types of illness, they so need to get educated about these situations. And the triggers that cause people that suffer from these problems, to act the way they do. STOP SHUNNING PEOPLE! If we are really to walk in Love the way God said, then we need to do what the scripture tells us....., Galatians 6:2-4 Good News Translation (GNT) 2 Help carry one another's burdens, and in this way you will obey[a] the law of Christ. 3 If you think you are something when you really are nothing, you are only deceiving yourself. 4 You should each judge your own conduct. If it is good, then you can be proud of what you yourself have done, without having to compare it with what someone else has done. AND the LAW OF LOVE....., Matthew 22:36-40 GOD’S WORD Translation (GW) 36 “Teacher, which commandment is the greatest in Moses’ Teachings?” 37 Jesus answered him, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the greatest and most important commandment. 39 The second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’ 40 All of Moses’ Teachings and the Prophets depend on these two commandments.” Everything Hinges on this. "SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT"!
