Why Colton Burpo Leads Us to Jesus
The film “Heaven Is for Real” is based on the true story of a four-year-old Nebraska boy who encountered heaven during an emergency appendectomy. While in heaven, Colton Burpo saw Jesus and relatives that passed before he was born. When he awoke, he had a powerful message that heaven was not only real, but God loves His people. This was just the start for Burpo and his family.
When the Heaven Is for Real book was published in 2010, it spent 59 weeks as the top nonfiction book on the New York Times best-sellers list. It’s no surprise, people are hungry to encounter God with a deep thirst of what heaven is.
